We are currently making plans for the 2008 summer camp season. Cub Scouts and Webelos will have lots of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors at Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation.

Day Camp

Day Camp is a five day program designed for Cub Scouts.  In 2008 Day Camp will be offered for five weeks.  Cubs participate in archery, BB shooting, swimming, nature activities, games, crafts, and have opportunities for advancement.  A full service trading post and health lodge are located in the day camp.  Lunch is provided daily for Cub Scouts.  Leaders, parents, and siblings have the opportunity to purchase lunch.  The fee for 2008 is $100.

Cub Scout Resident Camp

In 2008 Cub Scouts will be able to attend Cub Scout Resident Camp at Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation.  Cubs will sleep in one of two brand new campsites designed just for them.  Packs will sign-up for one of four sessions.

Session 1  July 4 July 6, Friday Sunday
Session 2 July 30 August 1, Wednesday Friday
Session 3 August 1 August 3, Friday Sunday
Session 4 August 3 August 5, Sunday Tuesday
Cubs will enjoy all of their favorite camp activities and have ample time for open programs.  Each Pack will be required to bring a minimum of one adult for every four Cubs. The fee for 2008 is $100 for each Cub Scout and  $30 for each adult.
Cub Super Weekend
This is a unique opportunity for a Cub Scout to spend a weekend together with his parent, grandparent, etc participating in wholesome Cub Scout activities.  The weekend will feature an afternoon and evening of games, crafts, aquatic activities, a campfire program and an overnight camping experience.  In 2008 Super Cub Weekend will be held June 21-22.  The cost of $45 covers both Scout and his partner.

Look for more information in the leader monthly mailings and in future Herbie Hawk News. Summer camp packets will be available at the January Roundtables.  Please note the dates have been changed and are not correct in the 2007-2000 Program Planning Calendar.   The dates printed here are correct.
